Most, if not all of us, look at the Ten Commandments as an outdated list of rules we have to follow in order to make God and others happy. What we miss is the reason God gave them to Israel and how applicable these are for us today... Even the order of them shows us about Who God is and how we can live freely and live well with God and those around us. As we look at some of these foundational statements that have formed so many cultures and governments, let's really examine what God has in mind then and now. Israel was set free from Egypt, and we've been set free in Christ - so why don't we live like it?
