< BACK TO SERMONS

Many of us have considered or have gone through some type of marriage counseling.  Some may be in a form of counseling now.  When I did a cursory search on google for marriage counseling, one of the first items I found was an advertisement for a divorce lawyer!!  Another statement I’ve found in my search is actually very true (from my experiences as a pastor) - “many, if not most, couples don’t go to counseling until their problems have gotten seriously bad.”

Our marriages and families are suffering because our priorities are out of alignment. We are going to explore what makes men tick, and what makes women work.  We’re going to look at the family unit, and we’re going to look at how to handle those pesky in-laws.  We’re going to look into parenting and how we can become better parents while staying focused on Jesus and each other first by keeping our priorities straight.

Essentially, we’re going to spend 7 weeks working through what we can do (and what we need to rely on Jesus and our spouse for) in order to have a successful marriage… and it’s all going to come from one verse in the Bible.
