You’ve been taught there are no absolutes, and that claiming to have found absolute truth is prideful, prejudiced, and hateful. That’s just not true. There are some absolutes...
If I jump off a building, I'm gonna fall. Gravity is absolute.
If I don't nourish myself, I'll die. Death is an absolute.
If I don't follow Jesus Christ as my savior and Lord, I go to hell in the end. The Bible is absolute.
That last one upsets you. You want to think that everyone can believe what they want, and you can look at all the world religions and pick one that makes you feel nice and warm and fuzzy... But if your beliefs and faith are not founded on Jesus Christ, and ONLY Jesus Christ, you're believing a lie. You're being deceived. And it is of no benefit to you or anyone else.
You're correct that this world is jacked up because of religions - I couldn't agree more. Because religion leads you straight to hell. Religion is me working my way or earning my way to God (or whatever you want to have as your end goal). I'd go so far as to say even watered-down, warm and fuzzy "Christianity" (which really isn't true Christianity) will do the same thing.
Jesus Christ, eternal person of the triune Godhead, gave up Heaven and glory to come live as a man, born to a virgin (medically documented by a medical doctor named Luke), lived a sinless life, died on a cross as a payment for sin to satisfy the wrath of God the Father, was buried and on the 3rd day conquered death and is alive forever more. Historical evidence and eye-witnesses place Jesus having lunch with friends AFTER they saw Him die and be buried.
But you’re worried about choosing the wrong thing, so you remain agnostic. How could anyone ever find The Truth among so many truths? So you don’t choose, you try to “cover all your bases” by believing, accepting, validating everything. Unfortunately, that’s far, far from safe. It’s the most dangerous thing you can do. And just believing in God? That’s not enough. Believing in God has nothing to do with it - satan and demons believe in God. In fact, they probably have some of the most solid theology around. Their end is definitely not a pretty sight.
ASK QUESTIONS...But be ready to find an absolute answer.
I'd ENCOURAGE you to challenge your beliefs and what was forced down your throat (my past was similar)... and I got to a point where I challenged a LOT, and asked a LOT of questions, and dug in and did the work and found out the Truth was all right there in the Bible. Nothing else can hold a candle against it.
You can place your faith in Mohammed, the Pope, the President, or the garden behind your house... But the ONLY One who will save your soul now and then is Jesus Christ and Him alone.
No other "holy book" can stand up against the Bible. Scholarly research will tell you that the Bible had told of NUMEROUS future events that LITERALLY happened and are historical fact. No other book has done that or can do that. Archeologists use the Bible on expeditions - it’s never been proven wrong. Manuscripts show us that what we have today is what was originally written.
From a scholarly perspective, from a historical perspective, from ANY perspective, the Bible stands above all others as Truth... The WHOLE Truth, and NOTHING BUT the Truth.
Qu’ran? Nope. Book of Mormon? Not a chance. Other sacred writings? Not at all. Why? Because in matters of life and faith, God provided His Word within the Bible - nothing else is needed, nor is anything else equal or even truthful in its entirety as the Bible.
It's your call what you want to believe... I'll take the Truth and conform my life to it rather than trying to bend the "truth" to fit a way of life I want.
"Straight is the path, and narrow is the way that leads to salvation, and few there be that find it." Why? Because too many people believe as you do, that "all roads lead to God." The path saying that is wide, and there are LOTS of people on that road. And it's end is destruction.

Keep searching! Use observational science AND historical science, and if you follow BOTH those paths, they'll lead you to the Bible. The Bible isn't a textbook for science, but it speaks of scientific truths that are mind-blowing, and now confirmed with modern-day observation.
Two recommendations for you on your journey:
1. Pray before you "do your homework" for the day/week/whatever. Ask God to show you and guide you to the Truth, no matter what it makes you feel like - if you REALLY want the answers, and ask, He'll show up.
2. You're MORE than welcome to come hang out at commUNITY church because we do a lot of questioning and a lot of challenging... you're free to ask the hard questions, as long as a "hard answer" is ok with you as well. No judgment... and no perfect people allowed.
Don't be deceived... You've heard the truth... Now you need to make a decision, and not making a decision is making a decision.
All the best to you,
Pastor Jason
