Emily Ashton

Ministry Assistant, commUNITY Kids Director
Emily Ashton lives in Jonesboro, Indiana and has been active in CommUNITY Church since 2014. She was born and raised on the northwest side of Indianapolis, before moving to Anderson to attend Anderson University. She graduated from AU in 2005 with a BA in Mass Communication with a Public Relations emphasis. During her time there, she bravely went on a blind date with the guy who would convince her to leave her big city life for small town living, Dan. They got married immediately after she graduated and established themselves in the town of Daleville. Emily and Dan are raising four (very) loud sons, each one with a unique personality that keeps both of their parents extremely busy.

Her role in the CommUNITY family is vast. She is currently the Director of CommUNITY Kids, Ministry Assistant for the church and serves in the youth ministry. Prior to her current roles, she served on the Outreach committee and taught in Kids regularly. Emily LOVES serving at CommUNITY!

God has brought Emily through some wild and crazy roads. She has taken many paths, wrong turns and a few detours to get to where she is at CommUNITY today. No matter what has been thrown at her, God has remained steadfast in her life, and she continually strives to be a positive role model to her children and those around her. He is constantly stretching her and forcing her outside of her comfort zone and teaching her more about obedience and faith daily.
